The Airplane

I had a med terms test today. I was kinda worried before I got there and then I got the test. It was rather easy. (If I would learn how to stop speed reading my grades would improve) Any who, I made an 87. Yay me!!! After that, I went and got Holli and we went and got Joey and went to Zaxby's. (Gotta love that place :P )
Since my car is having issues I am officially renaming it. It is no longer the Oldsmobile Alero. It will now be known as the Oldsmobile Airplane. I swear that is what it sounds like. When you take off, it starts out low and gradually gets louder until it is SO loud you can't hear the radio over it. It is the absolute most annoying sound in the world. :/ I hate that car!!! (Joey is suppose to fix it Friday) Well I attempted to start sewing tonight. It was an awful experience. Lol. I messed up more than I should have. I am super excited about Stefany coming over tomorrow to help me.
Mama thinks that she may have threaded the machine wrong. I was like I don't know. lmao. Holli has started trying to walk. She is trying to hide it from us. She wants to remain the helpless little baby. (Personally, I am okay with that! I wish she would stay small forever.) Now she wants to eat on her own and all. It makes me sad that she is growing up but happy that she is progressing at a normal rate.
I can't understand why people talk so bad about teenage parents. As long as you "grow up" then you should be fine. Take responsibility for your baby! I am a teen mother and my child has enough clothes to cloth a whole tribe and more toys at 10 months old than normal 10 year olds have. Joey went to college and graduated and is now working and he was a teen parent. I am in college and I stay at home with Holli. I mean if you want to make it happen then you will. Always strive to be the best that you can be. Just because we are young does not mean we aren't capable. I know several people that had children when they were in their mid twenties or early thirties and are worse parents than any teens. It really matters on your level of responsibility. If you can't take care of a goldfish, you probably don't need a kid.
(Sorry, I am just sick of being just another number) I am far from any judgement of a teen parent. Besides life is too short to dwell on everyone else's opinions. :D

Marriage

I have been thinking a lot about marriage. I think it is because we are nearing a year and a half :) Growing up I heard a lot about marriage, both good and bad. To me, marriage is something you have to experience on your own. It is like that new flavor of icecream that you think looks yummy but are unsure about.
I have heard how marriage would be good for the first year and just go down from there. Honestly, I have yet to see it go any where but up. I was pregnant for part of the first year and Joey was always there for me and he loved me through all of the crying, vomiting, temper tantrums and sleeping til lunch. Then I gave him the most precious gift in the world...Holli.
She truly changed us. We went from being two teenagers to being two parents. It helped us a lot. I don't think getting pregnant without any support for a baby is a good idea. Holli has always had the best of everything and we have always been able to give her that.
I love my little family :D Marriage is the most wonderful experience ever. Especially when you are married to the best man in the world! I love him with all my heart.

Follow Up Day

We got up super early this morning for Joey's follow up visit. Poor little Holli hated getting up but loved her pancake sausage! Dr. Sidow told Joey that everything looked fine =] Thank God. Then we went to Target and bought Holli some birthday clothes.
Then we started back home and when we got to Wrens Joey had to have some Prescott's Strawberries :) They are the best. We dropped Holli off at my mom's and then we went to Wal-mart and got some angel food cake and some vanilla icecream. We went to the inlaws and shared. It was soo good :D I finished up all my school work except for med terms and I'm almost done with it. Now its time to start writing papers :/ Got three to do.
Anyway, we came home, got a bath before the weather got bad and then started cleaning. I cleaned out Holli's closet. A whole garbage bag of clothes!!! Its so crazy. I dusted the whole house and Joey cleaned Scrat's (our chinchilla) cage. Now it is bed time.

Family Time :D

For the most part, we stayed at home today. Joey went to the shop this morning to clean his car & find out what was wrong with it. Holli & I slept in. (Thankfully) Anyway, when Joey got home he gave Holli a bath and we all played for a while. Its so nice to have some family time. I miss when Joey worked closer because he was always there. Now he works an hour & a half from home. The good thing about his job is the pay & he works with some nice people. :)
Anywho, eventually Holli took a small nap & Joey & I got to spend some time together. It's hard being a parent because there is no time spent between husband & wife. It's all about the child or family. (Which I don't mind) Holli stole my heart from the day the First Response said YES! She is a small wonder & is so perfect. It is hard to believe I was blessed with such a wonderful, precious gift from GOD.
Well we went to Wal-mart and then we went to Zach & Cassie's. (I finished the Wow Wow Wubbzy blanket & they bought it :D ) Then we came home and cooked pork, buttered potatoes, homemade macaroni & cheese & peach cobbler. It was so good!!! Now I am in the bed not looking for to this follow up with the oral surgeon tomorrow. I am not looking forward to Joey going back to work Tuesday either :(

Pulling Up and More!!!

Well since I didn't blog yesterday, I am going to now :) I was too tired last night. We got up and went to work on the race car. Then we left to go get Holli and to wash clothes. I love my house but it was not meant for a dryer and I am not the clothes line type. So while we were at my parents' house I did the laundry. While it was going Joey, Holli and I went for a walk. We walked some and ran some. (Holli was in the stroller) So we got our exercise. Well when we got back, Joey started playing with Holli and she wanted to get on the floor. She has been pulling up some with help and had managed to get on her knees by herself. She showed us what she has learned which is how to crawl up to something and pull all the way up. =D I am so proud. Today she has been pulling up and trying to take "baby steps." Every once in a while, she will turn loose to try to hold her balance. It is so cute.
Today we took her to the Pine Tree Festival in Swainsboro. She slept through most of it! Then she woke up and wanted to be nosy. By that time I was about to heat to death. (Note to Self: Never wear black when you have to walk like that!!) We went out there for the ribs and blooming onions. They are so good! After that we went back and got full and I took my psychology test. I was so afraid I was going to fail. I made an 80 so I am happy. Being a parent and student is tougher than it looks. I never imagined that it would be this hard. I know it will be worth it though. Well I am at the Pinetree 100 now. I am not enjoying the heat or the fact that I had to leave Holli with her Granny because it is too hot for her to be out :( I guess it will be alright. I am hoping that Joey will win tonight. He has worked hard this week even through his pain. He totally deserves it. Well I'll post the results later. (Prolly not the World of Outlaws, I have no idea who they are.) LOL
